Good morning, all
I sould have been more specific with my tongue-in-cheek(y) suggestion for an
agenda addition concerning MARC record Y2K noncompliancy. I suspect that the
nub of the problem is the "embedded date" and "date pattern" complications
in various fields. I have seen discussion on this issue on the DYNIX-L list,
and I would suggest everyone look at http://oclc.org/oclc/menu/y2k.html and
http://lcweb.loc.gov/marc/yr2000.html for further details. This obviously
will have a major import for Library Y2K planning and solutions.
Thanks
gmf
