The Libraries of Brown University are beginning to organize a central
resource of machine radable data files (MRDF). Initially, we will
concentrate on social science data such as census and general social
surveys.
I would like to ask for your feedback on how you deal with the
various services that are necessary to such a resource. In particular,
I would be interested to know the general support services, staff,
storage of tapes/CDs/diskettes/documentation, collection policies, and
circulation policies.
