The University of Arkansas is hosting the spring MIDnet Regional Network
Meeting May 18 - 19, 1992. Enclosed is part of Dr. Zimmerman's letter
of announcement as well as the conference agenda.
The annual spring meeting of MIDnet, our regional computer
network, will be held on May 18-19 at the University of Arkansas.
We are pleased to act as host for the MIDnet meeting and want to
welcome you to our campus and community. The MIDnet meeting will
be at the University of Arkansas's newly remodeled Old Main
building. Please contact our conference center at 501-575-3604
if you need help with arrangements.
Enclosed are program materials for the MIDnet meeting and infor-
mation to help you make arrangements for registration and accom-
modations. The program has many topics of interest to MIDnet
users and an excellent roster of speakers and special interest
sessions.
This is the first time MIDnet has invited librarians to attend a
MIDnet meeting. We hope many will choose to attend. Two general
sessions will be presented by library directors and a special
interest track has been established for librarians. Please review
the program for the meeting and encourage library reps from your
institution to attend.
The Smart Node Supercomputer Facility (SNSF) from Cornell Uni-
versity will offer a concurrent seminar with the MIDnet meeting.
The SNSF seminar will be for users of supercomputer facilities.
Please pass materials to individuals on your campus who may be
interested in the SNSF seminar. Dan Dwyer from SNSF will also
present a general session at the MIDnet meeting.
Please contact me at your convenience, if I can be of assistance.
My internet address is BOBZ@UAFSYSB.UARK.EDU or be old fashioned
and call 501-575-3301.
Best regards,
Robert Zimmerman
