We will be moving into a new high tech building this summer and
are exploring the possibilities available with a thin client wireless
network (using a Citrix server or similar).
Specifically, I would like opinions/comments/reviews/experiences
from those who are using or checking our wireless patron pads (or
just notebook computers), Palm Pilots, network computers, and
similar technology. We are particularly concerned with security
issues, battery life, keyboards vs. touch screens, use of small
OCR scanners, practicality of thin client networks for this activity,
and how patrons are actually using such devices.
I will summarize for the list. Thank you.
