Hi,
I=B4d like to learn from your experience on digitalization of classic=
al
printed journals in a library environment.=20
We=B4re going to scan old printed articles (not so old, good contrast=
,=20
high quality paper) on letter size and 10 points of character size.=
=20
Articles are formated in three columns, tables, graphics and color=
=20
pictures/photos appears frequently. An average article is 10 pages=
=20
long and a typical issue is 80 pages long.
After scanning we=B4re going to apply OCR and then convert text to=
=20
HTML with gif or jpg files for graphics.
So at last, here is my question: how many average working hours do=
=20
you know is necesary for the whole process from paper to HTML for=
=20
an average paper and average issue with the numbers described above?=
=20
which is the % of error-free OCR commonly accepted?
Any other advice standard, tool, tip or trick will be highly appretia=
ted!
Thanks in advance
