I am pleased to announce the addition of an exceptionally
innovative OPAC interface to Onion Patch(sm), my clearinghouse
devoted to New Age Public Access Systems. The URL for Onion Patch(sm)

The recently added project is a Floor Plan interface to the
Informatics library at the University of Oslo, Norway developed by
Knut Hegna and who is currently serving as a guest at the Technical
Knowledge center and Library of Denmark. A profile of this project
as well as a6 hotlinked to the floor plan interface is now available.
With this addition, I am greatly interested in learning of other
projects, research, products and services that support or demonstrate a
alternative approaches to Second Generation OPACs and other current
online public catalogs and indexes. Novel visual interfaces with
features and functionalities that potentially can enhance public
access systems, such as that of the Informatics Library, are also
of interest.
As always, any leads, suggestions, or candidates will be very
much appreciated.
