Modern information technology opens exciting new opportunities to
provide barrier-free education to students with disabilities.
EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information) is dedicated to
helping universities, schools and businesses provide access to
their information technology facilities. We have a workshop
delivered entirely by e-mail which will provide the basic
background you need.
ADAPT-IT is a three-week course providing an overview to the
topic of adaptive computing and is ideal for administrators,
teachers, librarians, computer support staff, ADA compliance
officers and service providers. It focuses on how to set up
computing technology and services for individuals with
disabilities. Taught by people who have consulted extensively on
adaptive technology and information access. Adapt-it is scheduled
for January 17, 1997. It will also be offered in April, July and
October.
Registration is $125. This workshop provides thoughtful content
and interactive contact with both instructors and other course
participants.
