Dear Mike,

Maybe part of your personal experience that "verifies the aversion many
women have for technology" stems from your view and attitude and the way
you approach technology with them. I work in an IT divison of a large
manufacturing company in Canada and have 50 people working for me -
approximately half of whom are women. I have never noticed such an
aversion. What are these studies, how old are they? Women were the first
ones to use electric typewriters, word processers and PCs in the workplace
(maybe because they had to, but none the less, they did).

So, please, ask for help in encouraging everyone to move to new
technologies, not just women.

Now, having said all that, for any new anything, the most important is
training - good training, of course. I am currently taking a course in
using the Internet and understanding how to use this tool and what I can
get out of it.

I have not had too much experience using the Internet, so I hope I
haven't offended you with my comments on your comments.
