PACS Review Editor-in-Chief Change

Charles W. Bailey, Jr., founding Editor-in-Chief of The Public-
Access Computer Systems Review (PACS Review), will step down from
that position at the end of the year. The PACS Review is a
refereed electronic journal that is distributed on the Internet.
The PACS Review was established in 1989, began publication in
1990, became refereed in 1991, and published its first refereed

Effective January 1, 1997, Pat Ensor and Thomas Wilson will
jointly serve as Editors-in-Chief of the PACS Review.
Pat Ensor, Head of Information Services at the University of
Houston Libraries, is currently the editor of the Key Guides to
Electronic Resources series and the book review editor of
Telecommunications Electronic Reviews. She has previously served
as editor of Information Standards Quarterly and of the "CD-ROM
Librarian" section of Computers in Libraries. She has also
edited CD-ROM Research Collections and The Cybrarian's Manual
(forthcoming). She has co-edited CD-ROM and the User and CD-ROM
Periodicals Index.
Thomas Wilson, Head of Systems at the University of Houston
Libraries, is the founding Editor-in-Chief of Telecommunications
Electronic Reviews, the Library and Information Technology
Association's first electronic serial. He was guest editor of a
special issue of Resource Sharing and Information Networks. He
has served on LITA's Publications Committee.
About his departure, Mr. Bailey said: "It has been a privilege to
participate in the emergence of a significant new form of
scholarly communication--the electronic journal. However, after
over 7 years of editing the PACS Review, it's time to move on to
other endeavors and to turn the journal over to a talented team
of editors who will continue to explore new frontiers of
electronic publishing."
