Ok, let me restate the question. And yes, we know about costers, clocks,
decorations, ect.
Is there anyone that knows of a company that recycles old cd-roms?

I'm a little annoyed by the nature of most of the responses
to Ms. Shuman's request. Although I'm one of the first to enjoy a
joke on a serious subject, try to remember that the first purpose should
be to answer the question.

Particularly, look for the link to NMEN, the National Materials
Exchange Network. This is an organization that attempts to link
those who have outmoded computer equipment and supplies, with those
who can make use of such supplies. Thus, you may find an "environmentally-
friendly" way to rid yourself of those old IBM-XTs that are gathering
dust on a half-forgotten shelf, as well.
The other comment I'd make is, for efficiency's sake, wait
until you have a fairly good pile of old CDs before you
look for a re-cycler (I've got half a drawer full,
waiting until it's all full...)

Regarding the recycling of old cds:
Autographics sent us an address where returned cds and jewel cases are ground
up and used in the production of jewel cases and jewl case trays. Their
instructions are as follows:
Please mark your packages "clean" or "dirty" as described below and ship to
the following address:
Digital Audio Disc Corporation
Attention: Disc Recycling Program
1900 North Fruitridge Avenue
Terre Haute, IN 47804-1788
Clean is material that consists of CDs and/or cases and/or trays
Dirty is material that contains any shrinkwrap or cadies
I hope this helps.
You can also hang them on wire and use as part of your signage, though I have
yet to do this.
