Our campus is in the midst of conducting a classification and pay
scale review for clerical and paraprofessional employees. Library
staff here did not receive any adjustments when we automated back
in 1991/92, so we are thinking that the successful
implementation and use of our automated system by library staff
can be used as part of the justification for a higher rank and pay scale for
our people.
Has anyone else used automation as a justification for higher rank
and pay? If you'd like to reply to me personally, I'll summarize for
the list, without names of institutions if you prefer.
Thanks much!
