I'm doing research for a book and wish to contact "in-the-trenches"
librarians, i.e., NOT administrative-level ones, in as many different types
of library as possible: research, 4-yr. public college, 4-yr private
college, community college, large urban public or its branches, smalltown
public, very small rural public, etc. You get the idea. I need names and
addresses to which I will send letters. This is clearly not random sampling
but then I'm looking for impressions and affective reactions rather than
numbers. I hope subsequently to contact the administrators in these
libraries for their impressions, etc., and then probably get stats as well.
Could you send me names of librarians or even names of libraries (in the
case of the very small ones) if you don't know the librarians there? I
would love to have cutting edge libraries/librarians and un-wired ones as
well, if there are any left! If you can classify the type of library, that
would be most helpful--but not necessary. This should be as painless as
sending me an e-mail.
Thank you!
Carla
