I liked the DecStation 5000 a lot (central). 
The smaller monitor is not a problem - I didn't notice it after the
first minute or so.  It's megafast!!  My mail got sent in a flash. 

The Powerstation was pretty cool, but it seemed slow.  Maybe that was
because of the AFS problem.  

I had no customization problems (except twm doesn't work on RS6000's), 
and the tasks I performed (pretty mundane) like news, xmh, discuss, and 
emacs-olcr worked just peachily.

Both these workstations I think are great; at least they're not new 
platforms, are they?  rsaix and decmips are something we've already 
worked with.
