Can't say my first impression is a good one.

When I walked up to the machine it was hung with a blank screen. It
took two pressings of the Reset button to get it to reboot; the first
press did something, but then just stopped.

Upon login zhm hadn't started correctly, although I was able to start
it by hand, and it worked after that.

The fonts are different, I kind of like the new ones, they're rather
sharp, but my windows where mis-positioned because of the font size
differences.

The new InfoExplore has few nice new features and a few new
mis-features. I particularly don't like the changes to the search
interface, that's very annoying, hopefully it can be customized.

I assume most of the above can be fix rather easily.

Nice to see an X11 R4 server.

I like the size of the CPU box; it plus the anchor pad puts the
monitor at a reasonable height. It also doesn't take up a huge hunk
of desk space like the current RS/6000's do.

So is that really a 2.88MB 3-1/2" floppy, has anyone tried it out yet,
is it DOS compatable. Well I guess quota's will have to go up again
now that you can put twice as much data on a floppy as will fit in
your account. I can't say I like the door, but they'll probably break
off in actual use anyways.

I suppose the locks are still Medico. Has anyone talked with IBM in
this process about getting them mastered.
