One thing I think the current meetings lack is an exchange of ideas
concerning problems (and solutions) facing sysadms. Is anyone interested
in using the last 30 minutes of each meeting for an open discussion?
Should the discussion be moderated? Should someone write up a summary of
the discussion and send it to the list?

The SemiSLUG group in Michigan does something like this.

The open the meeting with a formal mingle period. People are
encouraged to drop questions off.

The presentations(s) are given.

The questions are answered.

I forget all the details, but I believe they rank the questions as to
"importance" and arrange to get some answered off-line.

I suggest our bblisa meeting organizers get the details for Steve
Simmons and decide what format changes are appropriate for us New
Englanders.
