After a week with the newt, I want a smarter to-do list. I especially want
the ability to assign a to-do item a frequency similar to that of a
scheduled meeting.

For instance, I run a biweekly meeting for which I always have to create and
distribute an agenda. I would like the to-do item for that task to always
appear on my list of things to do three days before the meeting. I imagine
two ways that would be nice... (1) Give to-do items the same frequency
controls as schedule items, and/or (2) add a choice to any scheduled item
that links it to an associated to-do item a few days, weeks, minutes before
the given event.

The second option would not just be good for writing an agenda before a
meeting (and minutes after it), but also buying presents before a birthday,
confirming reservations before a trip, preparing a workshop before a
conference... you get the idea.
