I've never been an Apple developer, so this is new to me. But I'm
starting to see why people find it so frustrating...

What is a "Pioneer Program?" I've never heard the phrase before.

What is a "link?"

How do we developers go about non-disclosing with Apple so that
we can get some real information? The AppleSpeak these documents
are written in seem amazingly devoid of actual information.

(Boy, this IS exciting. I'm forking over lots of money for hardware
that barely works and a beta development kit that they won't
support. Since I wasn't at MacWorld Expo, I'm not allowed to get
even a beta of the connection kit. Despite announcing the Newton
a year ago, Apple still hasn't figured out what the developer support
organization will look like. If Newton wasn't so totally cool
I'd probably give up in disgust. :)
