SEATTLE (TICKER) -- Alex Rodriguez still loves the fans in
Seattle. The feeling is not mutual.
In his first game back in the city he used to call home,
Rodriguez was greeted rudely by unforgiving fans as the
Seattle Mariners posted a 9-7 victory over his Texas
Rangers.
Showing their displeasure with the superstar shortstop,
fans lustily booed Rodriguez every time he came to the
plate and mocked his big contract in a variety of ways.
They tossed fake money at Rodriguez from the upper deck
and one imaginative Mariners supporter had a dollar bill
on a fishing rod, waving it at the four-time All-Star. One
sign read, "A-Bum" instead of his nickname, "A-Rod."
