Another nerdy MIT comment (not about energy, though :-).

The latter is no longer true. MA128 ends right at Exit 12 (the exit
to take I-95 south to Providence). In fact, there are now signs proclaiming
the end of the route. So the fun of MA128 South and I-93 North being
the same road is no more.
On a pedantic note, MA128 will eventually be no more. It has officially
been redesignated I-95 between Canton and Peabody, and the govt has stated
that signs saying "128" will not be replaced. 128 will be reduced to the
stretch between Peabody and Rockport.
