A while back, a list of live-captioning bloopers appeared on this list.
Live captioned is the process that puts text at the bottom of of the
screen during live newscasts. On new TV's you can see this text by
turning CAPTION's on.
Anyway, here's a couple more:
Deaf people were surprised to hear about the new witness for the OJ
Simpson trial, her name was "Laura Heart Motorcycle Kenny".
And following this, a reader, who will remain unidentified, recalled
a WRC-TV (Channel 4, Washington, DC) 6:00 p.m. news broadcast last fall
about the new "Wonder Vertebrae." Says this reader, "Wonder how many
women rushed right out to Victoria's Secret to purchase theirs?"
