Hmmh, the OP is in China so maybe this host is blocked altogether (for
reasons that are simply beyond me).

could you help me how to set cursor automatically stay below quoting?
I use Agent, this software's default setting is that cursor
automatically stay on the top of quoting.
I asked a man who knows the history of Usenet, He said that reply in
top or bottom is not a rule people must obey, that just a custom of
NNTP client, I use Forte Agent1.8, and you use Mozilla/5.0 that's why
you reply in bottom and I wrote in top, you think this also my fault?

the reason that I reply on top is that My client is Forte Agent1.8, it
automatically stay cursor on the top, if I change the cursor every
post, I'll be crazy! and Agent haven't a way to set cursor
automatically move to bottom, I find much people use Mozila here, but
I only like Forte Agent, I should change my favorite tool? Oh, don't
let me do that...

How much work can it be to hit PGDN a couple of times? Also, don't ask
to be spoon-fed. The configuration of your news client is your affair
and not that of this group.

This guy is wrong (apparently he doesn't know the history of
comp.lang.perl.misc). Avoiding top-posts is a rule that you have to obey
in this group, or else people will start to ignore you after a while.

Other than that it has nothing whatsoever to do with the client you are
using. You are expected to trim down the quoted material to the stuff
you are replying to anyway. That means you start with your cursor on top
of the posting, run down the quoted material line-wise, delete lines you
are not going to comment on and otherwise insert your reply below the
lines that you keep.

this is not a problem about guidelines, this is a problem about NNTP
client, your tool User-Agent: Xnews/5.04.25, it can automatically move
cursor to the bottom, but my Forte Agent can't,

It *can* . I use it sometimes. (Even though I am not using it now).
