I don't know if the problem is with my permissions on my Linux
machine, or with the Mosiac script, but when Mosaic is copied to my
/tmp directory the permissions assigned are as follows:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root bin 1037316 Jan 31 20:17 /tmp/Mosaic*

which means that the next time I run it I get:

rm: /tmp/Mosaic: Operation not permitted

since the local user can not delete files owned by root...

Is there some way to automatically assign 'nice' permissions to files
copied over AFS that I am completely missing out on?

would it help if
-rwxr-xr-x 1 5244 15001 1513 Jan 30 19:42 Mosaic*
were suid root?

thanks...
