I am personally unwilling to do any work to support Linux third-party
software on these terms.  If ACS is so concerned about making clear
who is responsible for support that they want to throw away the Athena
model for all third-party Linux software, then I have very little
interest in working with them on this.

I may talk to Naomi Schmidt in person about this today.  If I'm unable
to change her mind (and it seems the ppt has "decided" this issue
without asking us about it), then someone else on this list is free to
go ahead and deal with Linux software support.
