I was planning, as soon as we add the extra space to the sipb AFS
cell, to make a fairly aggressive effort to get lockers to support
Linux and NetBSD (graphics, games, mime, consult, watchmaker, emacs19,
scheme, etc.), using SIPB disk space where the volumes are too large
to easily accomodate an extra two platforms.
We can afford space for /mit/graphics/linuxbin right now, although I
think we want /mit/linux/lockers/graphics to have separate "bin" and
"lib" subdirectories, so that:
/mit/graphics/linuxbin -> /afs/sipb/project/linux/lockers/graphics/bin
/mit/graphics/linuxlib -> /afs/sipb/project/linux/lockers/graphics/lib
It's probably of interest that Athena is moving toward a layout where
$bindir will probably be something like "arch/$sys/bin" instead of
"${hosttype}bin", and libraries will be found in "arch/$sys/lib",
where $sys will be the same as @sys. At that point, we can simply set
up /mit/graphics/arch/i386_linux1 to point to
/afs/sipb/project/linux/lockers/graphics.
