Hi, Naomi.

I think we can agree with the partnership you mentioned.  We've
already been doing a great deal of Linux support, and I don't think
this would greatly add to our load.  Naturally, as a volunteer
organization, we can't necessarily guarantee timeliness in delivering
reports on third-party software, or extremely good support, but we do
a fairly good job on average.

If you want a formal commitment, we'll have to wait for the next SIPB
meeting on Monday and discuss it there, but I think we can give you an
informal agreement right now.  I think we would prefer a situation
where we would have both the responsibility and the power to ensure
that there is support for third-party applications under Linux, and I
think the proposed agreement does a good job of that.
