Slackware 1.2.0 is now in /mit/linux/slackware/Slackware.1.2.0.
It is also available via NFS on ninja in /var/slckware.
This version contains libc 4.5.24, Linux kernel 1.0, XFree86 2.1,
and gcc 2.5.8.

For information on how to do an NFS install of Slackware 1.2.0,
look at /mit/linux/docs/install/Athena-Linux-Info/Athena-Linux-Info.tex.
If your network card works, it is much easier than it used to be.

Note that mh (inc, from, show, etc) does not yet work with this
because the mh package was compiled with libc 4.4.4 (which is in
Slackware 1.1.1). Now might be a good time to upgrade because many
programs will now be built with and require the new version of libc.

Also, today (Friday) is "See It, Try It, Get It" day for
Resnet. Stop by 10-105 and see a Linux demo. More
importantly, it would be appreciated if knowledgeable people
could stop by and help answer questions and give demos.
