Hi,
The boot disk works. The installer runs. However, the Athena
Workstation install method does not exist in the 7.1 code. In
particular, the old 6.2 installclass.py has been split up into a bunch
of classes under installclasses/*.py. So, the athena changes need to
be merged there (most likely an athena-workstation.py). Take a look
at /mit/linux/devel/redhat/7.1/install/anaconda/install*.
Alex, I'm not sure what other changes you needed to make in 6.2, nor
am I sure which particular changes Richard incorporated into the 7.1
CVS archive. I suspect that this (installclass.py) is the major one,
but it's hard to know without a comprehensive list of changes.
FYI, I committed the athena-workstation.png (which I grabbed from the
6.2 installer). So at least that exists in the repository. We still
need to hack the splash image, too.
So basically at this point we can successfully build an installer and
the installer runs, but the installer doesn't know about Athena.
