   Does too, at least on linux.  For things like "conf NOREMOTE default"
in a .add/.del script to work, you need to be able to read a prototype
rc.conf out of afs.  For solaris/irix, we can use
/srvd/etc/athena/rc.conf.  We obviously can't do this on linux, so
$SYSPREFIX/config/$VERSION/etc/athena/rc.conf is used instead.   

   I think the errors are ignorable in the case of "mkserv remote",
though.  Remember we never supported mkserv on linux version < 8.4.7, I
think.  In this, taking the update and then running mkserv is the
easiest thing to do.
