True. The way I had it done previously was that /mit/linux/devel held
the development sources. From there I would compile the installer
(both stage1 and stage2), build the boot disks, build the server data
files, and then copy the files to the install server. OTOH, I had
everything under CVS, so I could back out changes relatively easily.
I would propose that we continue to use a similar mechanism. A
source/developement directory, and an installation destination
directory.
NOTE: I did _NOT_ install the RPMS in the development tree; it only
contained the installer sources (misc) and the server configuration
(RedHat/{base,instimage}). The RPMS were on the server, and the
hdlist was built by mounting the server directory.

Unfortunately access to /afs/sipb/system/rhlinux is limited to
system:packs, which I'm not on.
Currently I don't have anything for 6.2 under CVS.. So I suppose I
could just make a second directory to test the 2.2.18 kernel in the
short term. Ideally, I'd prefer to 'cvs import' the RedHat sources,
and then checkin our local changes and build environment.
I should note that most of the install media is derived from the
installation RPMS, so I don't think we'd have to check as much into
CVS as I did previously.
