For the record, I downloaded Ted's packages.. I can attempt to build
a boot disk using that kernel (I've got most of the code necessary, I
think, to actually update the kernel). However, I really don't want
to lose my current build environment, in case I want to back out the
changes. I can either go ahead and lose my current environment, or I
can make yet another copy of the bootdisk tree.
Also, many things depend upon being able to find "../../../RedHat/instimage"
which doesn't exist in my tree (for obvious reasons). I haven't fixed
all of these, yet, so it probably wont work out-of-the-box.
If I do build a new bootdisk, I suspect that it will require changes
to instimage (modules.cgz and module-info, in particular) on the
install server... I don't think we could have both the "new" bootdisk
and the current bootdisk work together.
