Who said anything about copying netscape out of AFS at install time?
There's a cron job (/etc/athena/local-netscape is the script) which
brings a portion of the infoagents locker local nightly; the script also
provides hooks for the infoagents maintainers to disable both the
nightly sync'ing and the use of the local copy.

The issue with local moira clients is that they change, fairly
frequently even, and that in the past old clients haven't played so well
with a newer server. That's not as bad as it used to be now, thanks to
the query versioning that's been implemented, but I still don't like the
notion of installing local clients on someone's machine at install time
and then never updating them again.

I wouldn't object to something like what is done for netscape, with a
nightly update, but it seems like a significant local mod to maintain in
our own installer.
