I've run into a problem with the Beta SIPB installer for Athena 8.4 /
Redhat 6.2.

Everything works fine if I select "Athena Installation" from the
installation options menu that is presented early in setup. The install
completes successfully and the resulting Athena installation appears to
work fine.

However, when "Custom Installation" is selected, a problem appears. The
installation program completes successfully, but the resulting Athena
installation doesn't work. In particular, when anyone attempts to logon,
the logon program generates the following error:
"Unable to Authenticate you, Kerberos Failure 57: Can't send request
(send_to_kdc). Try again here or on another workstation."
It then returns to the login prompt. If an invalid username is entered,
it generates the following error:
"Unknown user name entered (no hesiod information for "<name entered>")"
which is the correct response but seems to contradict the previous
error.
Obviously, this means that no one can log on and use the computer. So
the "Custom Installation" option results in an nonworking system.

I did not try the "Upgrade an existing Installation", so I have no
information on whether it suffers from a similar problem.

Another problem I notised is that Netscape is not setup properly. It is
either not installed locally (Athena Installation) or the local
installation doesn't work (Custom Installation). The system then
attempts to run it from the afs locker. This is very slow, and prevents
the root user from running Netscape as they do not have kerberos
tickets.
