Hmm, I ought to test the credibility of my threats more thoroughly
before bandying them about.

So, if I point the installer at sipb-nfs:/u3/is-linux/redhat-6.2, I get
an error like 'Failed to import Installer from text' or something like
that, and the installer terminates.  But if I point it at
ni:/afs/sipb/system/rhlinux/redhat-6.2, everything's copacetic, at least
in text mode, some distance past the spash screen.  I am diff'ing the
two directories, now, but if they're different, I failed to understand
what Gary did to sync them yesterday evening (wasn't it just a recursive
copy from the sipb version to charon?)
