I think Camilla's wording is good.
But something just occurred to me.

How will non-students save that URL for when the install is done, and
they're ready to register for real?  Or is it ok for us to assume that
people
will have already seen the URL before fetching the install?  Or is it ok
for olc and the Help desk to teach a raft of people how they should have
registered when they finally notice they're not getting updates?
