True.

I don't have my laptop in front of me now, so I can't provide many
details, but I noticed that the cardmgr (sp?) would detect that the
thing it just installed was a network card, and would explicitly run
/etc/pcmcia/network with args (in my case) of "start eth0".

The "eth0" arg to the script caused it in turn to run  
"/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup ifcfg-eth0", starting
the network.

The network gets started when the cardmgr installs the card,
but the deferred dependencies bug me.
