I used the SIPB I/S-Linux-Athena installer tonight.

It mostly worked okay, but I'm reporting two problems with setting up
the network.

A brief overview of my situation: I'm installing a laptop, so booted
with the the pcmcia.img boot disk. I did a text-mode install, because
X doesn't properly auto-detect my display. None of the options in the
first menu of installation choices mentioned "athena", so I selected
the one for custom or expert install. Once the list of packages came
up, I accepted the default list.

The packages sucked across the network okay, but after they finished,
my laptop was not in a state where network would work. One of the
problems is the known one: redhat's init scripts start network before
they try to start pcmcia devices. The other problem is that my
/etc/athena/rc.conf file contained blank (null) entries for HOST and ADDR.

I didn't see any error messages which might suggest why rc.conf had
null entries for these two variables. I fixed the problem by hand.
