Red Hat has issued fixes for more security holes, including remote
root exploits that let anyone anywhere on the net obtain full control
of your machine. As usual, you can install the fixed versions of the
packages by running the following commands as root:

        attach -n linux
        /mit/linux/update-new.pl

Unfortunately, some of these updates (specifically, the BIND fixes)
lose badly on Red Hat-Athena 4.2, so linux-dev is holding back on them
for now. One of us will send more mail here when we figure out how to
deal with that situation, stay tuned.

On a related note, SIPB *WILL* desupport Red Hat-Athena 4.2 soon,
probably on January 1; please try to upgrade any 4.2 machines you
might have as soon as possible. (I apologize for the difficulty of
the upgrade path; we hope to have a solution to that soon, though.)
