So, I'm not havily involved in linux-dev, but I like to keep up, and
I'm in a better position to help out now than I have been in the
past, so I hope that this isn't just annoying noise..

Judging by the buzz that gnome and KDE both have garnered in various
places, I expect that the `next' batch of linux-athena users are very,
very likely to try to use RedHat 6.x or a derivative. I would be
willing to try to organize some rough athena-support packages for
linux-athena, but I'm not currently up to maintaining a full
sipb-athena port.

1) Do people think that this would be a good/bad idea?

2) Are there any major issues (especially with AFS) that are problems
   for RedHat 6.x?

thanks,
chad
