Yes.  Please leave them there.  For the small amount of space
they take up, it's much more useful to keep them around for
future reference or for cases where they might be needed.

Maybe let Derek remove the 2.1 dir when he's done with it?
He has some stuff in there...

I tend to follow the rule-of-thumb of keeping old stuff around
for a long time, as long as it's not taking up too much space,
is well-organized, and doesn't present a security holes.
