Apparently, the shadow password library's Makefile was forgetting to
include a file sppwd.o, so it was missing some symbols. I linked it in,
rebuilt and reinstalled the library, and (after some linking trouble
which turned out to be a ranlib failure--not sure what would have caused
that) successfully linked Xlogin. It now successfully verifies root's
password.
It now claims that /usr/athena/lib/init/xsession doesn't exist, even
though it does. Or maybe it's giving an error while processing
/usr/athena/lib/init/xsession. I'm not sure. I'm going to bed now;
I'll look into it tomorrow, hopefully.
