Athena-rc is broken. First, /etc/athena/apply-patch wasn't
executable. This means that the Athena changes to files like, say,
/etc/inetd.conf don't get applied! Also, if you try to remove the
package before it actually modifies anything else, it will cause an
error on exit.
I've fixed package-lists for rc, ttylogin, and xlogin (they all had
this bug). I've also fixed the srvd in AFS such that
/etc/athena/apply-patch is executable -- I don't know why it wasn't,
the Makefile installs it mode 755.
Another problem -- makepackage does not seem to actually be increasing
the 'Release' number on new packages. All of the packages currently
have a Release of '1' -- this seems wrong. I can't see any obvious
bug in makepackage.c
Since I cannot log into snork (most likely because of this particular
problem), I can't rebuild these packages remotely. So, I'll try to
get to campus so I can build them from there.
