We cannot release right now. Currently snork is broken. Big-time!
* You cannot log into the console as root. It gives "login incorrect"
when you try. I 'fixed' this by returning /bin/login.redhat to
/bin/login -- but we better fix /bin/athena/login before release.
* You cannot log into snork via Xlogin. It says that the machine
didn't reactivate properly, and says to send mail to linux-dev or call
SIPB.
- I tracked this down to /srvd missing its rvdinfo file, which
causes reactivate to fail.
- I tracked _THAT_ down to the build tree missing the
packs/build/finish/platform/linux directory
* Currently, the build tree Sal used is missing:
packs/build/finish/platform/linux
packs/dotfiles/platform/linux
packs/glue/platform/linux
packs/install/platform/linux
packs/update/platform/linux
* Aaron, when are you going to check your changes into the tree?
EVERYTHING is waiting on that right now. If you cannot do it, please
handoff to someone who can. Maybe copy your CVS tree into /afs/dev so
others can work with it? Either way, we cannot remain in Aaron-wait.

PS: Sal, I found that you did use /mit/linux/devel/athena as your
build tree. Sorry I sniped in my last message; I thought we were
going to use /afs/dev/project/sipb/build/i386_linux3 so I looked
there. Thanks for building in AFS.
