Before you build the packages, could you either copy the build-tree
into /afs/dev/project/sipb/build/i386_linux3, or, better, could you
perform the build there?  I'd like to be able to _easily_ rebuild
packages in the future.

Yes.  The usual development place:
	/mit/linux/devel/redhat/5.1/install/bootdisks/images

A lot of testing.  And making sure the code it all checked in on the
release branch.
