Hello All,
My name is Michael Krypel. I am an MIT freshman, running RedHat-Athena on a Dell Latitude LM (laptop). Neither the RedHat commercial Metro-X server, or the Free-86 X server support my video card (NeoMagic MagicGraph 128ZV). The only X server that supports the video card that Dell uses in their laptop series is made my a company called Xi Graphics. I have dowloaded a demo vevrsion from their website, but it only runs for 10 minutes at a time, so once you start doing something, it shuts down (this is the second time I am typing this letter-- it shut down in the middle of my first draft). I wrote to the company, stating that I am an undergraduate, and can simply not afford the ~$200 for the full version. They responded stating that if a Linux-Users group exists, they will send out a promotional package (including a free X server). I was wondering exactly what I should do, and who I should contact. Anyone's help would be much appreciated. Thank you. Below is the lette!
r !
I received from Xi Graphics.
Thank You,
Michael Krypel

Hello Michael,
Please send me some information about a shipping address and also some
type of Member directory. We usually require that your user group has
30+ members, meaning that our promotion has the chance of generating
sales. If you have a web page, a newsletter, anything like that, please
send it to me and I will send out a small promotional package including
a free X server, full documentation, information regarding our other
products, etc. Please get back to me.
