Linux 2.0.18 bores me. It's too well-tested and stable. I was going
to install RedHat 4.2 on cutter-john, but then I decided that this
machine is simply too important as a generic good fast workstation for
me to go around installing unreleased Linux-Athena releases on a whim.
So instead, I updated the kernel to 2.0.30 and installed just the
afs-3.3a package from small-gods.
All is well.
