Yes, emacs 19.34 was better. I was using a list of files currently in
the srvd, and put .el files with corresponding .elc files in another
package.

postscript: no, I think a lot of this is Transcript, which isn't free.

I haven't checked everything, but "moira" for one is a shell script
that runs a binary in the moira locker. Servers shouldn't depend on
clients to check security anyway. And again, I was working with a
particular snapshot of the srvd.
