Subject: "kernel: r"
From: Salvatore Valente <svalente@MIT.EDU>

For the past 3 days, a machine running RedHat-Athena 4.0 has been
logging this about 20 times a minute every minute:

Feb 23 02:11:47 quiche-lorraine kernel: r

This seems pretty bad to me. Does anyone know what could cause it and
how to fix it?

-Sal.

P.S. I noticed this when cleaning up all the logs that have been
mailed to root since RedHat was installed on the machine. The log
file was 7.5 megs, dating back to November 11. Aside from these
recent messages, there wasn't much of interest. Over 7 megs of the
file was the line "CMD (/usr/sbin/atrun)". This has been logged every
minute of every day since November 11. I wonder if "at" is worth all
the fuss...
