Hi.

The code you have installed is old and unsupported. There is no way
to test it, since we might have fixed the bugs that you are reporting.

I can understand your uneasiness at installing Redhat-Athena 3.0.3
because it uses Linux 1.2.13. However, very shortly (once I get it
debugged) there will be Redhat-Athena 3.0.4, which uses the
2.0.x kernel and should have an upgrade path from 3.0.3.

So, if you install 3.0.3 now and get it working, you should be able
to easily upgrade to 3.0.4 once it is released.

The only problem with 3.0.3 is that it does not have support for the
3c59x or aha2790 cards. If you dont have these cards, however, I
would HIGHLY recommend you install redhat-athena.

PS: Slackware will soon be decommissioned. I recommend you not use
it.
