This is a FAQ... we should presumably tell people to read the discuss
archives....

Please read the archive of this list. You can do this by opening to the
following URL: <a href="http://www.mit.edu:8008/charon/linux-help">linux
help meeting</a>

The problem is likely that you are on an ELF system and your 1.2.13 code
has not been properly patched to compile ELF. You can get such a kernel
from /mit/linux/afskern.
