MATCOM / Matrix<LIB> V2.02 maintenance release available
========================================================
This maintenance package includes -
o Correct fft for size = 2^N, N>=16
o Better Gnuplot interface
o Fix for contour "bad file" problem
o Correction for input()
o negative^() fixed
o 'Multiply defined' Sun CC 4.0.1
o x=qr(.,0) implemented
o fread ignores machine parameter
The maintenance package is free for our licensed users -
username and password are required to download it.
MATCOM / Matrix<LIB> now support FreeBSD
========================================
Our users have successfully ported MATCOM V2 to the FreeBSD
platform. If you wish to use MATCOM or Matrix<LIB> on
this platform, E-mail our technical support for assistance.
Mat<LIB> renamed to Matrix<LIB>
===============================
In order to avoid confusion between the MATLAB and Mat<LIB>
trademarks, we have changed the product name to Matrix<LIB>.
MATCOM Simulink support
=======================
We have been asked by many users on MATCOM support for Simulink
models. Those models can not be compiled by MATCOM, but MEX files
can be created for m-file S functions. Due to the disk-based
interface, this is beneficial only if the m-file function runs a
second or more in each step. In addition, this works for
"computation only" functions ; real time update of graphics and
get_param can not be compiled. You can overcome this limitation by
separating computation from graph display functions. To compile,
follow the MATCOM MEX making instructions.
Accelerate linear algebra and matrix multiplication using Visual C++
====================================================================
The MathTools Accelerator provides significant performance gains
for MATCOM and Matrix<LIB> programs using Linear Algebra and
matrix multiplication. These operations are accelerated using
Pentium and Pentium-Pro optimized assembler routines, and the
Visual C++ compiler (2.0 or later).
What our users say ...

I am developing signal processing algorithms
using Matlab on a Unix host and then using Matcom to
move the algorithms to an embedded Intel processor.
We have had no problems compiling Matcom generated code
with any of the C/C++ compilers we use on either
platform. Your products robust output has been important
to our success as we have had problems with some of
the Matlab Compiler generated C code. We also liked the
low cost and Web trial download which allowed us to
quickly and conveniently check the suitability
of your product for our application. All in all we
are very pleased with your product.
